Conventional Fixtures Source Four (Ellipsoidal) and Barn Doors?

I would also recommend cleaning and bench focusing your fixtures so you get an even spread of light in the beam itself. Helps eliminate the need for diffusion to get an even wash. Of course silk is also the way to go. :)

    ETC ION Touchscreen compatibility?

I had 2 Dell S2240T on my ETC Element, they work like any other modern touch screen monitor. You should consider the footprint of any monitor you are looking at. I think their foot print is way too big, but space in the booth and at the tech table at my venue is nonexistent. Also, if...

    CYC Lighting

If it is still worth anything:I second the endorsement of the ChromaQ Color Forces. If you buy used beware of 1st generation models. They have been plagued flickering issues. While ChromaQ is repairing them for free you still have to pay for shipping to get them to the factory, which is a...

The Ten Commandments of the Qlab Computer

I have been using Qlab for six years now. Almost every show I have worked I find a way to integrate it to the show. Learn from my mistakes and enjoy! Let me know if I missed anything.Thou shall never run updates during a run of a show. Running updates on a dark day between weekends may seem...

    Control/Dimming VISTA Control Panel

I've tried Rosco, Jands (which was sold the brand from Rosco), and Strand (which was sold the IPS dimmering system from Rosco that goes to this). I can't find a manual or technical support on the following:Rosco Entertainment Technology Vista VM200-R Master Controller Circa 1997Picture...

A new iRFR for ETC Eos

Happy Friday,With the addition of OSC to EOS 2.3 you can now use programs like OSC to remotely control the console. In the introduction video they demonstrate TouchOSC with a custom layout for iPad. So I decided to make one for iPhone 6+!Because Control Booth will not let me upload TouchOSC...

Help! How to use DesireD40 LEDs

Hi Amy,First, please consider the advice of others to contact the local dealer. And while it is unsolicited advice, I always believe in a good working relationship with dealer is key to running a successful department. Most reputable dealers will not sell you a new moving light when you only...

    Really low end console

I am a big fan of the ETC Expression 3.https://www.usedlighting.com/22823/etc-expression-3Solid as a rock, easy to use, has the more advance capabilities for expandability, and has encoders. These can be used with LED's or Movers. It is 500$ more than your budget, but I feel its the best...

    LED fixtures connected to dimmers

The fixtures in this scenario are FIRST GENERATION 12" Chromaq Color Force's. With the issues they already have, I wouldn't entirely trust the power supply. :think:Sadly this venue had a Rosco Intelligent Power System, which meant we couldn't have spent money to purchase modules like the ETC...

    LED fixtures connected to dimmers

Good Morning guys,So I worked at a theatre that plugged their fixtures into dimmers due to the lack of rely power, I had not control over the situation but expressed my concern as the longevity of the fixtures. I had always been told before "never plug leds into dimmers, it doesn't matter how...
