PRG Has a new product called the ground control that has a camera on of their moving lights and is controlled up to 2000 feet away by a spot light like controller. Very cool.http://www.prg.com/~/media/files/us/prg...
I've looked at MagicQ and I can't quite wrap my head around it. It takes me awhile to finally break through some learning curves. MagicQ is still not relenting to me. It took me a long time to figure out D::Light. I had actually tried it before but could not do anything with it and decided...
Not a question but FYI for Mac theater geeks
I know there are several posts about the many different lighting software options out there but there is very little in way of doing so with a Mac. I bought a Mac to be able to use Qlab for sound. I then discovered that there is really nothing...
LSC has a new program out called Clarity that currently only works on a PC but is in beta for Mac. After the 30 day unlimited trial it then only lets you run 128 channels over 32 fixtures. I have the usb to dmx pro and also an enttec ODE which allows me to run on artnet. Clarity can use both...
The amps are all plugged into the same power strip. They get turned on by pressing the power button on each amp itself. When turned on they go thru a warm up and take a few seconds to get to full power. My question is would it be fine to just flip the switch on the power strip. I think they...
In my theater I have a rack of 5 Crown stereo amps that have a push button to turn them on and off. Can I just plug them into a power strip and use that to turn them all on at the same time?
I don't have an answer for your question but a question about the Telex BTR 24 system. I can't seem to find anyone who has used it. I'm looking for a wireless intercom and want to know how well these work. Any info or a link to some reviews would be great.
I'm trying to buy a wireless intercom system and I was wondering if anyone has either of the HME 200 or Telex BTR 24 systems and can let me know what they are like.
There is a iphone/ipod touch app out called Luminair 1.5. It costs $100 and you need to have a Art-net node for and wifi access. You can set up faders and cues that will control any dmx light or fixture including moving lights and color changers. They don't recommend running a show off of it...
Anyone know anything about Vocus from Enttec? The web site says it is used to help with focusing lights. I guess it needs a dmx to usb connection like the enttec open or pro box but dose it work well enough to be worth paying for it?
