Having trouble with one fixture in the last chain of five. It will randomly strobe on its own, but it's under inconsistent circumstances.
The typical behavior is it will begin to strobe at a medium rate after a cue is fired. It will retain the color information and in between strobes it will return to the correct intensity. It can be stopped generally by manually commanding fixture intensity up or down. It only happens after the fixture has been on and in use for some time and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it happening (ie the same cue does not always elicit this result).
It is terminated, the fixtures are on their own chain in their own universe. We swapped out the last DMX cable in the line to see if it would help. Switched it to master mode instead of slave. Even though it's getting fed data, I'm not sure if it was randomly picking up something on the line that was engaging the strobing. None of this helped.
My next thought is to try to run art net down that line since these fixtures will accept it natively. But I was curious if anyone had experienced problems with these fixtures. I'm leaning towards something being wrong on the fixture as opposed to the whole line. We haven't tried flipping it with another one on the electric, but I'm thinking maybe we will on Monday. Problem is in testing, it sometimes goes for two hours of use before it cranks up the blinken lights.
