Expensive musicians chair

As seen onstage at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Siciliy. They were setup for an operatic recital, every chair, there were 40 or so, was this design. Adjustable for height as well as back height and angle.

This as BTW, the third largest theater in Europe and the largest in Italy, even though just a bit over 1300. Beautiful theater. They filmed Godfather 3 here. Sofia Coppola gets whacked on the front steps.

Looks like just a modified base for a standard off the shelf office chair.. And with that said.. It's gonna squeak, and Maestro will spear the perp with his baton.
Concerto for Cello and blood on the stage.

@jtweigandt I was thinking the same thing. I sure hope the stagehands keep a big bottle of WD-40 on hand.

Sigh. My wife is a professional flutist. Think I know what to get her for christmas.

A well known musician I have worked with, had specifications for his requested stool in his rider that specified the height, diameter, location of the cross bars, the thickness of the cushion, etc to the inch. I just didn't understand why he didn't travel with one if they were so concerned. It's not like he wasn't traveling with his instruments.

I could write a whole book series on "Why the F aren't you carrying that if you need it so bad".

First book will be all on drum cymbals. Second book is on guitar pedals.

A well know comedian that smashed food needed a special table built to his specs, at least it was on the rider so I had time to build it. Then he showed up the evening before his show and suddenly needed the hammer to smash things with. That was a fun evening scrambling around town to find the things he wanted it made of and then getting it made.

So Well known there were two of him.. I was always fascinated by that story.

The chair looks cool but I assume this puts you in a situation where each musician expects their chair to be adjusted correctly prior to its use. I only had one instance where a musician had to have a specific chair and it was provided by the orchestra.

In the early 1990s, Gallagher's younger brother Ron asked him for permission to perform shows using Gallagher's trademark Sledge-O-Matic routine. Leo granted his permission on the condition that Ron, who shared a strong likeness to Leo, and his manager clarified in promotional materials that it was Ron Gallagher, not Leo Gallagher, who was performing. Ron typically performed in venues smaller than those in which Leo Gallagher performed. After several years, Ron began promoting his act as Gallagher Too or Gallagher Two. In some instances, Ron's act was promoted in a way that left unclear the fact that he was not the original Gallagher.[28][29]

Leo initially responded by requesting only that his brother not use the Sledge-O-Matic routine. Ron nonetheless continued to tour as Gallagher Too using the routine. In August 2000, Leo sued his brother for trademark violations and false advertising.[28] The courts ultimately sided with Leo, and granted an injunction prohibiting Ron from performing any act that impersonated his brother in small clubs and venues. This injunction also prohibited Ron from intentionally bearing likeness to Leo.
