Accident at Cirque Luzia tent

Please take a moment today for the technician who died in an accident at Cirque's Luzia tent in San Fransisco during pre-set. Cirque reports the technician was struck by a lift. Name has not been released yet, pending notification of family.

That's terrible. I even saw this show at the beginning of the summer, my condolences to the technician and the family.

It goes to show that we work in a dangerous environment. Even those who literally grew up in this business are not immune. It will be interesting to see how this plays out. Remember to hold your loved ones tight and always be prepared for the worst.

Wow what a shock. My condolences to the entire Cirque family. I'm guessing he must have worked on many different shows and been well known by everyone.

I spoke with another friend who works with Cirque. He apparently 'worked' for the company since '97 but as many have stated, he literally, "grew-up" in the company.
