Body Mics

Just a general question about body Mics. How do body mics work. Can one receiver have more than one microphone attached or is it 1 to 1. and if so do each of the mics have their own channel in the mixer or does it all come out together. Are they interchangable like can you use one type of body mic on someone elses receiver. Now I am not a sound person so you might have to dumb it down for me but I was just curious.

to answer a few questions.

each mic has it's own transmitter.
each transmitter has it's own output.
each output goes to it's own channel on the mixer.
mics are interchangeable to transmitters as long as the connector is the same.
each transmitter and receiver has a unique frequency that allows it to communicate with one and only one of each (i.e. the 659.2 kH transmitter works only with the 659.2kH receiver)

Just made a few updates to the FAQ so might take another look.
