I've been asked to design a show with 20 ColorBlaze 72 in A mode, using them as an unconventional video screen with simple animations. At first I tought using a ChamSys MQ100's PixelMapper, creating a 20x12 grid and playing MagicQ standard graphics. What I really want to do is control them with a mediaserver (I have access to an Arkaos Mediamaster PRO server) to send them regular video converted in ArtNet data (with arkaos ledmapper).
I will have access to the colorblaze just some days before the show and i've never seen or used them...
My question is: do they accept artnet data or just dmx over the ethernet ports? Is there any external controller to convert data (straight video or artnet data)? I cant use regular dmx cables 'cause mediaserver has only 1 dmx out and 20 of them dont fit a single universe.
