Effective temporary hair color?

The LOML was cast in a play where she has to play someone half her age. Given the amount of gray in her hair - that's a tall order. She has to brush her hair on stage - so a wig might not work too well - we'll see.

She doesn't want to dye her hair. She tried some Roux mousse - but it didn't work too well. If she wanted to go red, green, purple, etc. She'd have plenty of choices. She just wants a temporary colorant that she can wash out - in relatively few washings.

However, you would want to watch the costuming and set around her when brushing as that action will remove some of it. I have done this with my 10yo daughter.

Alas - she wants a brown or light brunette color. Chalk wouldn't really work for that.
