Eos & ASCII Serial Strings

I need help figuring out what I am missing. I have sent Eos Element the following string:

$ Macro 298 #​

and

$ Macro 299 #
​

Here is the result:

It doesn't fire either of these macros. I've tried it with an without the '$', I've tried changing the '#' to '\r' and cannot get it to fire the macro.

Side note: I thought I could send an OSC string to the console on the designated port, but I'm not really sure how to get the string to be recognized as an OSC packet. So any help on that would also be appreciated.

Try dropping the '$' from the string. Your command is attempting to post Macro 1 Enter to user 0's command line. Without the $ it will send "Macro 1" to the event handler and fire macro 1. The # or \r may not be required either.

I meant to follow up on this last week but forgot...

Anyway, scouts honor, I originally tried it without the '$' and it didn't work. But i tried it again, as you suggested and it worked just fine.
