Control/Dimming ETC ION/EOS and Obsidian Control Systems EN4 Nodes?

Does anyone have any experience using Obsidian Control Systems EN4 Nodes with ETC ION? Obsidian tells me that I should be able to read/write RDM directly from the ETC ION. I have always been on the assumption that ION can ONLY read/write RDM from ETC nodes. I wont have a sample in hand for a few days.

I do not believe the Ion would receive RDM through a third party node at this time. If network is being used then an ETC Gateway would be required to pass the RDM Data (or a direct DMX connection to the console).
