F-100 fog machine

I have a High End F-100 Fog Machine that isn't working. I think I have narrowed it down to the remote timer. Is there anyway I can run the machine without the remote timer (possibly jump some wires)? I would like to make sure that is exactly the problem before spending $250 on another remote timer.

under the DIN connector that tha remote plugs into is a 1/4" phone jack, that is a 0-10VDC analog input
If you have an analog source you can try that.
If the remote is bad it can be repaired. unless its been trashed, theres no need to buy a new one ( if you can find one ).
