Thought the date for a +100w nitrogen lamp was 1910. These two 500w Benjamin Lighting #3150's came out of a 1911 theater a few years ago. I had to re-construct & silver braize on the missing top vent/baffle & lamp socket assemblies based on a Brenkert similar design. Note the ruby red lens on its side. The Width on these fixtures is about 4" less than that of later 1916 versions of this fixture using 1Kw PS-52 lamps.
I know of an actual carbon arcOlivette at the Chicago Historical Society - it's the one that caused the 1903 Iriquois Fire.
