I'm making/painting a custom backdrop for a one-week ballroom gig. I want it to be flame retardant, which I haven't done for drops before.
I've read that flame retardant muslin can tend to leach out the chemical when it's painted and make salt streaks. Anyone have experience with this?
The drop has tranluscent sections, so I can't just mix retardant in with a base coat. Any tried mixing retardant in with starch when sizing?
