I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a volunteer light & sound tech for my church. We use a Yamaha LS9-32 for the sound and an ETC Smartfade 2496 for the sound.
We have a live praise band and do 3 services on each Sunday. We also video each sermon and will show video of the 3rd service as our pastor goes to a different church for the 3rd service.
I basically self-taught myself how to use the light board using instruction manuals online. I then reprogramed the entire board after connecting it to the church IMac and using the Smartsoft software.
I have a degree in Hotel Management, but I fell in love with Musicals in College. I always wondered if my career might have taken a different path if I had been introduced to Musicals earlier in life. Since it wasn't, I just get to enjoy myself working with my church.
