I joined today after being a lurker for many months. Somehow, I have found myself being a lighting crew of one in an 1100 seat concert hall. I am completely making it up as I go along, and someday I will get caught. All my school training is in performance - dance and circus - and I found I had to make the jump to the dark side when the body started to break and the most interesting people to talk to were those black clothed ninjas making it all happen behind the scenes. So I am old and with no official technical theatre degree, but use every opportunity I can to take courses, lurk online, and just learn all I can about an industry that has yet to get boring.
