My.002/.5 cents view, again, get what people know. Element. SmartFade, with properly labeled faders/pages, can be easy to use, but so can an Element. However, the Element provides advanced features better designers will expect. MOST designers I know have never worked on a SmartFade, or anything similar. Sad in many ways, but typical.

And while the element does lack a few features from the larger desks, the Element has the same software as the Ion, Eos, and soon to be Gio. Many people (should) know how to use it. (Or can learn it fairly quickly)
