my problem is that i had originally bought some Production Intercom boxes and headsets only to find out that this system does not work with the system in the building. so i exchanged the boxes for telex that work with our wiring. i didnt think that the headset would matter but apparently it does because when the PI headsets are used with the telex box i get a "knocking" sound that increases as volume goes up. is it they are not working together or do i have a different issue? if i use an old telex head set i dont get that knocking so this is why i think they dont work together but before i sent back the boxes i had used the headset with a telex and it worked fine but now it doesnt..i am very confused....

Did you talk to production intercom about what kind of system you currently have? They can setup their gear to work with just about anything. Might be worth a call.
