Thanks all for the many replies. I am going to first try a crescent moon gobo. I have plenty of time and if this works, it is inexpensive. I will try it from the first electric and see what happens. I have four Source Fours hanging there anyway. After that I will get more creative. The moon box idea sounds interesting. I could get a nice piece (or two) of frosted gel and work from there - that would be relatively inexpensive.
