Lamp Off/On on Martin MX-10 & Shark 250C From Event 416

Hi All!
My theater has just invested in some Martin MX-10's and some Studio Due Shark 250C's that we are controlling from an old(er) Event 416 console.
My question is:
Both fixtures have a DMX value to turn the lamp off (and the MX10's actually need a DMX signal to strike the lamp currently). How do we do this on this console? Can we achieve this through the programmer, or must we resort to soft patching the dmx channels we need to a fader?
I have already tried to contact Jands, but were unable to help (apparently next to nobody in the support department has had any experience with this console, and I am still waiting for a phone call reply). We have also gone over the manual for each fixture, as well as the console, several times.
Has anyone got any experience with this desk in general that might be able to lend us a hand? We have a show in around a month and this is crucial information, considering we have student tech's running the system.

Thanks in Advance,
Peter William; ARK Theatre
