Was hoping anyone out there has some advice about setting up Luminair, finding a app on mac that interfaces with the enttec ODE ETHERNET dongle specifically not the USB version. And even more of interest is the Pixelnode program from Synth FX. Anyone got any tips. And of course this is all further marginalized because by the constantly annoying rub that my computer is a....you guessed it... that all to interface vs program un-friendly yet oh so sexy... can you guess.... no not the TRS-80........ but yes, oh yes the computer we hate to love and love to hate and constantly have to buy adaptors and converters and endless dongles upon dongles for ...TADA the "MAC".

While most of us are able to decipher problems separate paragraphs and not so wordy questions are generally preferred as from a hard days work to come home to read something written by someone who has a question but not necessarily on a time schedule to get the problem solved, would be greatly appreciated.

In theory you should be able to plug your ENTTEC node into a wireless router, and have your iPod or iPhone connect to that network, and Luminair will do the rest.

You seem to be a bit confused, you see the ENTTEC ODE Node is just that, a node. You plug it into a network streaming Art-Net, and it outputs DMX. You could use it in a rig with no computers at all, for all it cares.

You shouldn't have to have your Mac connected, unless you need to set the IP on the ENTTEC node. This can be done with their NMU (which supports OS X).

If you also want control from your Mac, the MagicQ software will work fine with that ENTTEC node.
