That's going to be a challenge! At it's heart, all movers use stepper motors, which by nature... step. As you increase the ratio so that the motor shaft has to spin more to achieve something, you smooth out the motion while at the same time slow down the response time. Irrelevant of the reduction, as you slow the motor down you will get to a point where you are seeing small jumps in position as compared to smooth movement. If you are projecting a prismeffect, any slight disturbance in motion is going to be amplified several hundred times in size by the time it hits the stage. Remember, most times the prism itself is only a bit over an inch in size.
