NAB 2013

Anyone in town for NAB? If you go and see something cool, list your findings. I should be attending on Wednesday for a little bit as well as Thursday if I don't see it all.

Blackmagic has a 4K cinema camera for $4k. Also a new 4K ATEM switcher for $2k (compatible with current control panel). 3-camera 4K switching package (minus lenses) for under $20k. Unbelievable. I'm checking it out today.

Pelican's coming out with a nifty armored backpack for a 15" laptop and full DSLR camera. I wants it. Also Coolux booth has some cool stuff in version 5. ARRI has some nice little leds. Haven't been to south hall yet. Oh Panasonic 23" tablet is cool too.

It was pretty cool that RED had a lab set-up where they could be manufacturing the Dragon. I also liked the different way Black Trax demoed their product. They had it set up much more like a House of Worship or conference. They were not only having the moving lights track the performer, but also had a robotic camera tracking the movement.
