Automated Fixtures Neutrik Powercon connectors and VL 1100s

Has anyone ever had to build the power cable for a VL 1100/VL 1000? I work for a school that just bought 4 VL 1100s and no one mentioned that while the connector (a Neutrik Powercon) is provided for each we will need to attach said connector to a cable ourselves.

I've never dealt with these connectors unless they were already attached to cables. Any suggestions on the easiest way to build my cables?

Thanks!

Start by selecting which stress relief is correct for the gauge of cable you're using. There's a white one and a black one, use the one offering the closest fit. Once you've placed the boot and stress relief on the cable, strip no more than one inch of the cables jacket. Then strip 1/4" off each conductor. The Powercons are clearly marked L - G - N. Black to L, Green to G and White to N. Note: it is usually adviseable to back the screws out by a turn or two making the conductors easier to insert.
