Opto-Splitters

Hey Guys,

So I'm looking to purchase a new (cheap) opto splitter in the next few weeks. I was wondering if it matter if the device is listed as being optically isolated, versus being optically split pass thrus.. I've heard unhappy stories of people buying off-brand splitters and finding out they were basically just hardwired pass-thru boxes with no protection on each line.

Some will put an opto on the input and the outputs are not isolated. For a cheap and good splitter pick up the Enttec one: D-Split.
