An axial profile spotlight made by Electro Controls from about 1975 to 1984.
The fixture was somewhat ahead of its time, featuring a computer-designed hybrid parabolic-ellipsoidal-spherical glass reflector and other features that would not appear on other fixtures until many years later. One of, if not THE first, zoom profile spotlights available in North America. Fixed focal lengths were introduced later. However, it was expensive, made by a company that concentrated on high school and college installs, and was bulky and heavy. Usually used the 1000W EGJ lamp, but one had to be careful as some lamp manufacturers made a lamp that would not fit due to a long ceramic and short glass envelope portion of the lamp.
