Microphones Phantom Powered Wireless Mic?

I recently purchased a Crown LM300A podium microphone to use for the MC on a talent show. He wanted something that looked like the Sony ECM-51 that was used on Match Game and The Price Is Right. After I bought this microphone, he asked if he could use the LM300A with a plug-on wireless transmitter (like the Sennheiser SKP 100). Since the LM300A requires phantom power, I told him he couldn't. Am I correct? Is there something that provides phantom power to a wireless microphone?

The SKP 2000 provides 48v phantom power.

The Sennheiser SKP 100 will not work as it is designed to work with dynamic mics. Audio Technica's Unipak transmitters do supply phantom power and you could attach the Unipak using a XLRW adapter cable.

If the microphone is going to be on a podium and not in the hand like bob barker, you could purchase an inline phantom adapter, which would provide the power by 9v batterys, though you could make one yourself.

Note that this only supplies 18v Phantom Power - check the specs of your microphone to see if it will work with that voltage.
