Decades ago, a standard noise attenuation trick for decks started with 3/4" Plywood, then a 1/2" Homasote Sheet on top of that, then those topped with 1/4" double-tempered Masonite.
This makes for a heavy platform, but quiet.
I have been looking, and have found no reference to any "modern" solution that is as effective and substitutes all that weight with lighter, technologically advanced materials.
It must have been done. We're smart folk; we LOVE technology (especially when it makes heavy, heavy things that we must handle all the time lighter).
I would love to hear what you have discovered, including not finding anything better.
