Quick splitter question

I am building a balanced 1/4" in to XLR and 1/4" balanced out Y split cable. My question is, will this remain balanced on both outputs? Is there a preferred way to wire this? This is for a custom application where the output cables from both the XLR and 1/4" are 3ft to the next device so being balanced on out doesn't matter, I was just curious. Thanks.

If you use TRS 1/4" connectors (3 conductor), then it would remain balanced. Wire it:
Sleeve to XLR pin 1
Tip to XLR pin 2
Ring to XLR pin 3
