A late Happy Thanksgiving all! I discovered yesterday that Sennheiser was adding to their line of Evolution digital wireless with the EW-DX, which looks an awful lot like it gives ULXD functionality (including 4 channels/rack space and Dante integration) for a significantly lower cost. We have a bunch of G3 and G4 evolution wireless in our inventory, so the ability to re-use capsules and lavs is attractive.
Has anyone come across these in person? Any concerns with jumping right into a brand new product like this? I was planning to slowly invest in more ULXD to replace the analog gear over the next few years, but this is a very intriguing alternative. One thing I notice right off the bat is that the receivers have built-in headphone monitoring ports, which is conspicuously missing on the ULXD4Q.
