singin in the rain floor

Hi, does anyone know how we can make a hard floor so that we can hear the tap dance yet be a non-slip surface? (We are using real water for the rain)

You can mix sand in the paint, though that might be too much texture for tap. Also, only do this to a floor you won't reuse.

You can drop the rain into a trough with black plastic screen material draped inside (not stretched). It stops the splashing and noise. Paint the inside with Tech ROCI, roll on crack isolation and water profing used in showers. Slight rolling or rocking of the rain batten gives a realistic fall line down stage. Masonite will swell when it gets wet if you are dropping water on the stage.
