Control/Dimming Sirius 24 broken

Hey Everyone,

Unfortunatly yesterday we pulled out our Sirius 24 Lighting console to find after running totally fine only a couple of weeks prior it has finally had enough and is neither booting or functioning correctly.

The desk was totally working with no problems only a week or so prior to this happening as I said, and has had no major turmoil prior to this, the desk it 100% anologue and is set for 0-10v.

First of all when we turned it on it started up in slave mode, and as we have never used it in slave mode before we don't know how it got there, but because there is no slave input it warns us that the slave is lost and locks the rest of the desk up so we can't do anything without going through superuser and totally clearing the desk, meaning we wont beable to program anything into the desk without clearing it to get the desk started. Once reset the desk starts normally however after leaving for about an hour without power the problem occurs again.

Also at the same time we have lost 4 channels, channels 21-24 have totally stopped working. Using a multimeter we checked the output from the desk and its staying at around 0.1V, same on the LED indicator so its not just the LED's have mysteriously gone.

Has anyone else had any similar problems or can help us as this desk is the workhorse of our whole LX system and without it we can't do any jobs! Also anyone who has a Sirius they are wanting to get rid of and is totally working we would be very interested!!

Thank you

Have you tried contacting Zero88?

In general this can just be old age, in a venue I worked at a few years ago they had a Lightmaster XLS, after a few years (5-6 IIRC) of use it needed to have it's faders and other often used knobs looked at.
The mode selection knob (which switches between programming, running slave etc.) also didn't always 'know' what it was pointing at, though on the Sirius it's a key it may still have similar problems.
