I need to post a sign in our theatre lobby warning audience of the use of a blank firearm being shot during the performance. Does anyone have suggestions for wording this properly?

I'd say something about "simulated gunshots" or "simulated gunfire" being used during the show, emphasis on the simulated.

Talk about ruining "suspension of disbelief."

"During this performance, sudden loud noises and other sound effects may be heard."
--if you don't want to expose in advance that a gun is discharged.
