Squeek Lights is a boutique concert lighting and touring shop based outside of New York City. We are looking to hire a full-time employee to work in our Middlesex, NJ shop and on local gigs. We are a small shop looking for someone who is technically savvy and eager to work on a variety of things. We're looking for a hard worker with a positive attitude who wants to build further experience with our rapidly growing company
They will primarily work in our shop completing tasks such as:
-Preparing lighting packages for tours and one-offs
-Cleaning and testing in fixtures from gigs
-Diagnosing and repairing issues in moving lights with help from service
-Other special projects as they come up
-Driving van or non-CDL truck for deliveries and pickups.
In addition to shop work is work as a tech on local one-offs. We often provide lighting and or video packages for local concerts and events in NYC and the surrounding areas. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading a crew in setting up a rig, troubleshooting it, and either making sure the tour LD is happy or lighting the show themself if there is no LD
With this position, there is also the possibility of growing in to a role involving timecoding tours, and we would be happy to train for the right candidate
Compensation:
-$20-24/hr in shop
-$350/d for show work
-3% Simple IRA Match
-14 days of PTO per Year
-7 Paid Holidays
