Unknown converter/splitter

I'm not sure if this is a lighting thing or where I should post this. In my theatre we've had 3 of these converter/splitters ever since our new theatre opened and I can't for the life of me figure out what they are for so any help would be appreciated.

One end has two 3-pin XLR
The other end has one 6-pin

Translation to American: Adapter used with some two-channel party-line headset systems, i.e. ClearCom.

Agreed, assuming that you have matching connectivity those are probably used for connecting two channel comms via a single six pin XLR to two channels via two separate three pin XLRs. If your theatre is new then this is the type of thing that should have been covered during training and the installing contractors should be able to help you.

Thank you everyone! We have about 4 of these and no 6-pin xlr and they did not even touch on it during our training. Thanks again for your help!
