Mixers/Consoles X32 Crash Course.....

TD just switched the board on us. I have been working on an old Yamaha Analog(a PM 3500 I think) And now we have been handed an X32. We've got it installed but cant do anything on it. I have been trying to get my head around the quick start guide, but I'm a lighting guy. I need only the basics, assigning inputs to outputs(both from the board in and 2 ethernet snakes.), creating DCA groups, buses??? and any other tips you can give me.

Basically the final goal is to have a base setup that student techs can use easily.

Drew Brashler has some nice ones, but I don't know how much he goes into the very basics. Behringer has posted some, too. When I have gone looking for videos, it has been for more advanced details. The user manual is pretty good and a fairly fast read. I suggest printing it rather than trying to read on a computer.

If you have a specific question I am happy to help, but it isn't easy to cover a broad number of topics like your original post.
