XLR/Phantom Power Adapter for Senn MKE2 Gold w/ 1/8" term?

Hi Gang,

I've inherited a new sound install that I had no part in specing.

I have 24 channels of Senn EW512G3 w/ MKE2 Gold mics, 3 Senn SKM300-835G3 doubling on three of the receivers and 3 SM58s.
I have no MI mics whatsoever; not even a DI or 57.
I'll almost never have more than a dozen performers on stage and would love to re-purpose a couple of the MKE2s.
Anyone know of an XLR/PhPwr/PreAmp adapter for the MKE2 Gold with 1/8" termination?
Can't find one on Sennheiser's site. I'm sure they don't want you to re-purpose them and have to buy new. But just checkin'.

I had a similar thing with some shure capsules, and I had to get some custom made, as I don't thing there is a simple solution.

You can buy female 1/8" locking female connectors, wire it up to an XLR and plug it into an external phantom power supply.

I was thinking the same thing. But, correct me if I'm wrong, the XLR adapters for the MKE2s act as pre-amps as well, no?

You can buy female 1/8" locking female connectors, wire it up to an XLR and plug it into an external phantom power supply.

I'm afraid it isn't that simple. For one thing, the MKE2 wants around 5V of bias, not 48V. The adapter for these things gives it the proper bias along with impedance matching and balancing. In other words, the Sennheiser adapter is a lot more than an empty tube. You need an MZA 900P-4 for around $150.
