yellow card

In the theatrical touring world of US and CAN, this is a production whose production staff are all members of IATSE, and further requires that (at a minimum) local crew members have department heads that are also members of IATSE. So named after the document (which is traditionally printed on yellow card-stock) the touring show's Head Carpenter sends to the steward of each venue on the tour. The yellow card details the touring crew by name, department, and local affiliation; as well as spelling out the tour's local stafffing needs for each phase of the engagement, specified by department.
Also, for some venues, may refer to a specific set of work rules or conditions ( IE: Departments) only in force during the run of such an attraction.
