Has anyone ever seen or worked with a vertical dolly for vertec? ... pa rides already pinned and lifts off on site once points are up?

We are thinking of making something and don't know who's had experienced with these types of dolly and what you liked disliked.

Thanks.

See attached as a general example.

They can be perfectly fine, or a complete disaster if you don't consider weight distribution.
Always take into account the weight of a bumper or frame that could be on the top.

The one company I know of that had/has them always re-pinned them to be straight lines, not curved, before transport. They believed they rode better. I would check with JBL, however.

I've seen 12 NEXO 12s packed onto 3 dollies. bottom 2 boxes of L and R go on one, straight up, not curved. Other 4 boxes of each side go onto 2 dollies also straight. I also suggest wide, large casters.

Yeah my few concerns were load control in the truck, weight distribution not being to top heavy, and truck pack sizing.

They would pin flat and then curve on site. Was thinking 4 to 6 4888s tall depending on truck pack and uses that way you could pick a set roll in next group etc.etc.

If they're pinned straight, and strapped in well you should have no problem.

I would pin straight, or as close to as you can, in an ideal world you would figure out how to pin the cabinets to the room you are in, which will change in every venue. Pinning straight will also keep your center of gravity in a line so you can pull the PA out of the enclosure straight without it tipping over. You could build towers tours like theater tours do, but they also pin the boxes loose in them and use ratchet straps or come-alongs to angle the cabinets in sections so you can fly the entire PA in the enclosure while still maintaining the ability to angle cabinets.
