but who honestly cares what the lighting board looks like? it serves a purpose, it isn't a piece of art.

holy crap that's wild!!(mind the language) our lighting board is not nearly as complicated as ours. we have an ETC 24/48. i don't know how old it is...but it's not nearly as cool as that one.

so you know in the booth when you turn all the lights off all you have are black lights? well i dont know if anybody else does but anyways, in our booth we have three fake black lights(lightbulbs painted purple...can you say cheap??) and one real black light. and sure, it gives off some light...

if you want to get some money, dont perform at a church! they may guilt you into it but don't give in. we did. it didn't turn out so great. we have to serve them food, and we were gonna get paid 100$ and have to pay them but then our director negociated and now we only get 70$ but we don't have...

actually yes! it turns out scholards board was patched differently from our so when i saved our show onto a disk at scholard, the same patching showed up on our board. it took a few times of it happening to realize the problem.

after hurriedly programming my lights on scholards board for sears(regional competition) and doing the show, we brought the floppy back to tweak some things on our board. at the beginning of the school day, ashley came and found me and told me something was wrong with our lights and she couldn't...

oh and sorry about saying i was the only canadian. there are plenty of others. i just didnt look much in depth.

okay so im from canada. northern ontario, but almost southern. and i have a little question. do the techies from U.S. have the same slightly eccentric (i may be underexxagerating) personality as the techies in Canada? i'm terribly curious. please comment.
