    ION cue on fader removal

I am just rearranging the stock setup of the desk, and wanted to remove a cuestack I had placed on the fader wing. [Shift]+[Load] is the exact quick answer I was looking for, I just could not find that info in the manual. There was plenty of info for loading a cuestack on a fader, could not find...

    ION cue on fader removal

Doing fader control - assert - shift allowed me to clear the fader, then I went into the show settings - fader config and remapped it to sub 27 (the sub i was trying to clear). That sucked, I would have hopped it would be as easy as delete - sub - 27 - enter, but it is not. Thanks For the help...

Control/Dimming Etc Ion CYC LED problems!

This seemed to work well, I just had time to group them all and throw some RGBA subs in before the show tonight, but I am looking forward to playing with them later. Thanks for the help.

Control/Dimming Etc Ion CYC LED problems!

Hey Experts! I have 4 chroma color force 72s ( http://www.chroma-q.com/products/color-force-48-72.asp ), patched in mode 5 on a Ion. When I select them, they appear in the moving light control panel, as they should. I only appear to have individual control for the intensity of the 12 groups, but...

    ION LED patching issues

Hey All, its been a while. So I am patching some JBLED A7 fixtures into a ION, no problem there. The problem is that when you bring the intensity of the fixture up, it has all the colors at %100. So when I am trying to program three faders to do a RGB color mix, I cant. Its either R, G, or B. I...

    Blinder Basics

If its a small enough venue to only need two S4 pars, you might want to put the blinders behind the band, I find sillouets and shadows wont piss of the crowds as much as straight blinding. Also, if you put a deep enough color in it, you can leave em on for much longer, Ive found. Course, then...

    Interesting Challenge: EKG machine

Well, you need power for the monitor, could you run a video line down the power line. You could use a larger cable sheath or wrap in etape. Alternatively, you could build a frame around a small laptop/netbook and just run the clip on that, if you trust the battery you wouldn't need any cables...

    Riding an A-Frame Extension Ladder

I also work in a theater that has volunteers, but they all have to go through training before volunteering, and they also sign a form saying they will follow all the laws and acts like they were employees. Pretty much anyone who does not go through our training does not do anything in the air...

    Riding an A-Frame Extension Ladder

Im gonna have to agree with Gafftapper, in our industry we have been doing silly unsafe and needless things for to long, it is up to us to put a stop to these practices. If you dont have the time to get off a ladder, move it, then resume work in the new location, perhaps you could look at...

    orientation of FEL bulbs

That is indeed the lamp I am asking about, sorry I didnt make it clear it was a FEL. The OSRAM one has the arm 90deg to the GE one, so if you want the arm to hold up the filament you would need to turn the back lamp socket depending on the bulb. I never thought the orientation mattered, but a...

    orientation of FEL bulbs

Hey everone, I have a question that has been bugging me for a month or two now. Inside the bulb of a OSRAM 575w bulb there is a small wire that ends in a hook that is attached to the filament. When you relamp a fixture with this type of bulb, does the hook have to be on top, "holding" the...
