Hotel and car are booked - still trying to figure out flights. Its looking like we'll be there Thurs. afternoon through Sunday night.

    Doors zip tied shut

I believe the answer is short and simple, if that area is part of an evacuation plan for any other part of the building... the answer is no you can't do it. If folks aren't listening to you telling them this is unsafe, a quick call to the fire marshal will solve that.Sent from my SCH-I535...

    Martin TW1's

New question - still based on the TW1. I am currently touring with about 20 TW1s in my rig, and I am being told the 115v lamp for the external dimmer is being discontinued and that the only lamp I'll be able to get is the 80v lamp for the internal dimmer. Does anyone know anything about this...

Automated Fixtures New to Moving Lights - Need HELP!!

--As far as patching similar characteristics on each light together - I don't know how I would do that. If I'm not mistaken, you essentially set the starting address on the fixture (lets say channel 80, for instance) and then the fixture uses channels 80-110 for all of its various...

Automated Fixtures New to Moving Lights - Need HELP!!

Ok - So I found what I could on the Millenium console - not much available online. Here's what I can tell you from the information you've given, you have the 48/96 125 model which means you can have the faders work as 96 individual channels or as a 2 scene preset using 48 channels in each...

    Control/Dimming Sensor Dimmer Rack Problems

Also - just re-read the original post - is this only happening with circuits FOH (i.e. cove and house lights) do you notice the same issues with any circuits anywhere else? Did this issue exist before adding the Ion or only since the Ion was placed in the system? If only with the Ion, has it...

    Control/Dimming Sensor Dimmer Rack Problems

It is very possible this is a DMX issue, but I would think a DMX problem would present itself more often than just when a large volume of power is being drawn at once. Not sure about the software bug with DMX dropping out... I would have to read more about that.

Rain without water, onstage applications of atomospherics for shows such as "Singin'"

Re: Rain without water, onstage applications of atomospherics for shows such as "SingWell, now you're adding another "effect" to create the total effect by wanting the low stuff to hide the trough :). In order to get low fog, which would be great to cover the troughs, you need to chill the...

Rain without water, onstage applications of atomospherics for shows such as "Singin'"

Re: Rain without water, onstage applications of atomospherics for shows such as "SingPersonally, I think the best way to get a rain effect with out water on stage is with the lighting. There are devices like the GAM FilmFX which works with standard ellipsoidals to give you an effect of rain...

    Control/Dimming Sensor Dimmer Rack Problems

This sounds to me like a power issue with the rack or power supply to the rack. There are a few things that come to mind to me. You seem to only see this issue when bringing up a group of lights... so here are my thoughts. If the rack is unbalanced... i.e. you are pulling a large load on one...

    clearcom -> bluetooth?

I see it has been a while since anyone posted in this thread. I'm wondering if a few years later, anyone has accomplished this?

    Office Lighting

I use an online company called StageSpot for most of my needs... I have gotten PAR16s from them before - they are the ProCan labeled ones. They were about $24 in black or silver. I know the cost more if you add connectors, but I needed them without connectors for a gig I was doing...

    Control/Dimming Profiles / Personalites / Libraries

I have not been taking anything her as negative. I believe that having a devil's advocate style discussion only leads to better things in the end. Additionally, I learned a long time ago - nothing on stage is personal, it's all about getting the job done well. I appreciate all the input. I do...

    Control/Dimming Profiles / Personalites / Libraries

"Not trying to rain on your parade but ... I have to ask "What business problem are you trying to solve ?"" As a person who comes across many different intelligent fixtures and many different consoles, it seems I have often run into needing to create my own fixture in a consoles fixture...
