I'm fairly certain thats a High End "thing" where as 5 minutes or so after you shutdown the light board the fixture realizes it has no dmx and shuts itself down, and when you turn the console on again, it knows its got dmx again so it homes and turns on.

my guess is they pick bands that appeal to the older audience watching the events. This being why we've had paul McCartney, Rolling Stones...etc, prince is not quite consistent with that guess. They also need bands that have clean music and whatever else. I'd hope the people running the NFL...

That stage blew me away. I kinda expected something pretty neat lighting wise....and was not disappointed, this was definitely my favorite halftime show in at least 5-6 years.
