American DJ Flash Rope

American DJ makes a string of mini strobe lights (American DJ Flash-Rope Strobe String). I was wondering if you could put this directly on a dimmer (and profile it to Full at 1%). Our TD says we can - and one of his friends did it. Is this recommended?

You probably can do it, but it may not like a distorted waveform.

I've used Flashrope on a dimmer with no problems, though I just bumped it up to full rather than trying to dim it.

Ok thanks, I was planning on using the non-dim patch profile anyway. This really makes things easier for me. Thanks
