looks to me like someone lowered a section of the stage assuming that the pieces were either completely on or completely off. When they weren't centered on the lift, the upstage side caught on the main deck and the tip happened. Pure conjecture of course at this point. Props to whomever built them to begin with though. To take a fall like that and be camera ready on time... Well done.

Knowing nothing about this incident, I can totally see this happening. The ships we send stuff to have pit lifts with storage under the stage. Its not uncommon to get replacement requests for stuff that wasn't placed properly on the lifts and they've tipped/rolled off etc.
