A friend of mine works in the AV Installation side down in the Florida area. Here's some photos I asked to share of his, it would be great if others who do installations have any photos they'd like to share.

This is an install done by All Pro Sound for a For-Profit Theater.

Wow...that looks insane (to me). Does anyone know what the large green box is in the fourth picture?

Wow! Looks like a mains transformer to me. It appears to be connected to the electrical panel next to it.

I've asked him so I'll see if he knows, I've also sent him a link to the topic so perhaps he'll join up and be able to answer some questions.

He said he's getting dedicated power and it's a clean transformer.

The green box looks like an isolation transformer, pretty common in larger projects to help keep the audio power isolated from other power systems.

When a company I used to work for installed projects like Turner Broadcasting and the International Broadcast Center for several of the Olympics the cabling for some of those projects was quite impressive in both quantity and the aesthetics of the installation. For the IBCs the cable was literally multiple semi-truck loads while for the Nagano games the IBC was actually built and tested in a mock-up facility here in Atlanta then disassembled into pallet loads, flown to Japan and reassembled there.
