Battery Operated...

Hi there,

I didn't really know what section this should go in but hey!!

I've got two battery operated silk flames,

I need to run them both ideally off one battery pack would i be able to do this from a rechargeable 12v pack?

The flames take 4 x AA each so 8 in total... thus equalling 12v IMHO,

Your thoughts as always are anticipated,

from what you have posted each flame needs 6 volts, so if you hook up with a rechargable 12 volt pack you would need to run the two flame units in Series so that you would wire it with the positive from the pack going to the positive on the first flame and the negative of the first flame GOING TO TO THE POSITIVE INPUT on the second flame and then the negative of the second flame connecting to the Negative on the battery.

For my money I would check the battery compartments, make sure they weren't center tapped, thus pulling 3v for fan 3v for lights, just to be safe. If they do prove to be 6v all the way through, I'd simply invest in a 6v gel pack like the ones used for some alarm systems, or a motorcycle 6v battery..
