Control/Dimming Controling LED pars with a Strand Palette

Depends on the output from the controller/desk/console and the logistics of the building.

If you have a dmx desk, no issues. If it's an older system, it may not run dmx. Edit: Sorry, didn't see that you said what desk right in your post.

Depending on where the dimmers for the stage are, you can just run a cable out from there to each led fixture in turn, simply daisy chain from one LED to the next to the next.

Some LED fixtures only have 3-pin data ports, so you'll need to check on that before you start ordering cable.

I would also recommend buying (assuming you don't have one) a splitter so that you can make cable runs more efficiently. Some splitters have both 3-pin and 5-pin inputs and outputs, making cable runs even easier.

Finally, each branch of your data line should end with a terminator plug in the last fixture. It's not an absolute requirement. Your lights will USUALLY work without one, but terminators are generally so inexpensive to buy/make that not using them is just silly.

I would first suggest that you sign up at the Strand forum strand-dev.com • Index page

Any one on the forum would be able to give you help with any problems you might be having using your console. Also you should go to this youtube page and watch the video's. John has a complete set of videos covering the setup and use of the Strand Palette. Very usefull and broken down in to sections for ease of use.

And if you haven't updated your console with the newest software 10.6.6 go here and download it.

Which Palette do you have?
