Hi all,
I am building Into The Woods, and have a 16' tall 3' diameter tree that I want to drop sideways. It is built as a platform for the cinderella mother scene, but she will not be in it when I drop it.
I can imagine a number of ways to do it, but wanted some expert advice from people who have already done this.
The tree will hinge at the bottom, and "tip over" to about a 60 degree angle. I need it to fall gently, but not in slow motion, and come to a safe stop.
I planned on using a shock absorber, or some sort of RAM, and to manually push it over. I do not need to to tip automatically using any sort of actuator.
Anyone else done this, and can you point me towards equipment?
Thanks very much,
Tim
