Dumb Led Strip and decoder

Greetings all,

I am currently putting up a show wherein i purchased a Chinly 512 30 Dmx Decoder and some dumb led strips, and my master electrician had the first 3 runs wired up and running fine for 2-3 days, now on the day of dry tech when he plugs in the dmx power they are suddenly on, in a single color sequence with the grand master down, then when we plug in the dmx out to the dimmers they start going crazy flashing all colors. Do you think the decoder is faulty?

Or a solder point has come loose. Double check all your connections, especially where two sections are joined together.

Could be a damaged cable as well.
