Fade Types

Hey everyone! I'm starting to get deeper into all the little settings on my Strand 300, but this question applies to almost all consoles.

What is the difference between the different fade types? Example: My 300 has options for Move Fades, Cross Fade, All Fade, and Tracking. What is the best to use? Or is it more of a personal decision?
